A catch-all email mailbox is one that gathers all the messages sent to nonexistent addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an obsolete email address or has made a typographical error. The disadvantage of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of spam, but this issue can be fixed using anti-spam protection software. It’s also crucial to know that a mailbox with an active catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming emails to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all mailbox effortlessly in case you have a shared hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager tool in our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel is fully featured, yet amazingly user-friendly, and it will allow you to activate various options, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you’ve created will be displayed alphabetically in this section and to the right of each of them you will see a mini "Catch-all" sign. Clicking on it once will activate the feature, clicking it once again will deactivate it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you already have a different mailbox with this feature enabled or if you’ve got enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than a click if you have a semi-dedicated hosting with our company and your email messages are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the addresses that you set up with any domain hosted in the semi-dedicated hosting account will be displayed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to enable this functionality will be to click that icon. In the very same manner you will be able to disable the feature, if you no longer need it. Our system will let you know if you’re attempting to activate a 2nd catch-all address for a certain domain or in case there is active email forwarding, but it will never disable or alter any feature automatically and without your permission.
